Details
An online train-the-trainer program for NDIS service providers and other mental health professionals aimed at fostering self-determination for people who may be eligible to access, or are accessing, the NDIS under the psychosocial disability stream.
The training will:

Increase the knowledge and skills of training participants with an interest in professional development, to be able to train other workers at their organisation to deliver workshops to consumers on self-advocacy for the NDIS (mental health).
Increase the knowledge and skills of training participants to deliver workshops to consumers on self-advocacy for the NDIS (mental health).
Increase the confidence/capacity of training participants to support individuals with a psychosocial disability to self-advocate for the NDIS.
Training format and requirements

Prerequisite Learning:

Training participants to complete 2 x 1 hour eLearning modules prior to attending the below interactive webinars.
Training participants should familiarise themselves with IMHA’s Self-Advocacy for the NDIS (Mental Health) resource workbook and IMHA’s Facilitator Toolkit booklet prior to attending the below interactive webinars.
The eLearning modules and workbooks focus on the knowledge development aspects of the training package.
Training Hub:

Training participants should sign up to IMHA’s training hub prior to attending the below interactive webinars.
The hub houses the above prerequisite learning, and an invitation will be sent once you have signed up for the below webinars.
Interactive Webinars:

Training participants will attend 2 x 2.5 hour interactive webinars via Zoom. These webinars focus on the skills development aspects of the training package, and each webinar is co-facilitated with someone with a lived experience of mental health, mental distress, and the NDIS.
A calendar invite with Zoom login details will be sent once you have signed up for the below webinars.
Background
IMHA now enters into its 4th year of running their Facilitating Self-Advocacy for the NDIS (psychosocial) program. All resources and training have been co-produced with people with a lived experience of mental health, mental distress, and the NDIS.
