Description
This two-day workshop will provide participants with an introduction to cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) principles that can be used in working with young people experiencing psychotic disorders. The workshop will use multimedia and interactive formats, and include didactic elements, case studies, and skills-based work.This event will cover:
- the theory and rationale underpinning the CBT model
- the evidence base for the use of CBT with people experiencing psychotic disorders
- how to complete a cognitive behavioural case formulation
- the role of trauma in work with young people with psychosis
- the strategies for effective provision of psycho-education
- the strategies in working with young people experiencing hallucinations
