New MHCC website

The Mental Health Complaints Commissioner (MHCC) has launched its new website: www.mhcc.vic.gov.au. The MHCC is an independent body created under the Mental Health Act 2014 to safeguard rights, resolve complaints and recommend improvements to Victorian public mental health services.

The new website is the outcome of a six-month project which involved extensive consultation with stakeholders. It aims to make it easier for mental health consumers, families, carers and support people to make complaints about Victorian public mental health services. Speaking up can improve the mental health system for them and other people. The website also includes a section with resources and information for services. These resources  will continue to develop as we support services to build positive complaint cultures and processes.

The new website includes:

  • new imagery intended to reflect our diverse community
  • up-to-date information on the MHCC
  • clear information on our complaints approach, processes and outcomes
  • several individual complaint stories.

The MHCC hopes people find the new website useful, and welcomes your feedback and suggestions so it can continue to be refined. To provide feedback, please contact Caitlin Evans, Senior Communications & Engagement Officer, via caitlin.h.evans@mhcc.vic.gov.au
